Last autumn, the  Institute for the Future of Technology issued the map above   to help you find "your own path through the dynamic, turbulent, and startling multiverse of exploration." The report  below details its main issues :

"Wind is an important nature force that humans have learned to harvest

to create power (and curse it for giving them bad hair days). [...] By  harvesting the wind’s power, we are able to create electricity using wind turbines".

Before Autumn Holidays, you finished studying documents and a video about wind turbines. Check out the infographic below : it illustrates how wind power is collected to generate electricity ::

The Simple English Wikipedia definition :

null

Wind turbines use the kinetic power of the wind to generate electricity. Historically, they were more frequently used as a mechanical  device  to turn machinery.

There are two main sorts of wind generators : those with a vertical axis and those with a horizontal axis.

Large amounts of electricity can be generated in wind farms   -both onshore and offshore-  thanks to wind turbines.

Here are the 3 main types of wind turbines :

HAWT / VAWT = horizontal / vertical  axis wind turbines

TECH

America's national   grid  is outdated and inefficient :

nowadays increasing the renewable energy generation is the solution. Power should be generated from sources as diverse as the sun, the wind, the seas and even waste.

http://www.americainfra.com/media/media-news/infographics/091020-Power-SmartGridsEurope.pngIt is currently difficult for consumers to see how much electricity they are using. Smart grid  devices are being developed to help consumers monitor and cut back their electricity usage, allowing them to cut down their energy bills and pinpoint off-peak hours in which to run their energy-intensive machines.

Solar panels are good examples of renewable energy generating devices:
